THE PLACE TO ENJOY
ADVENT ON THE PÜRGG
When Christmas scents fill the air, lights twinkle everywhere and festive decorations adorn the houses – then it’s time again for “Advent on the Pürgg”.
The first snow has covered the landscape around the IMLAUER Hotel Schloss Pichlarn in glistening white, transforming nearby Pürgg into a winter wonderland. The magical village on the mountain is a very special highlight for young and old in the run-up to Christmas.
A village straight out of a winter fairy tale
Pürgg, often affectionately referred to as the “Crib of Styria”, is transformed into a romantic winter setting during Advent. Between old farmhouses, artfully decorated stalls and the warm glow of lights, a traditional Advent market awaits you, which is known far beyond the region for its authentic atmosphere.
Regional artisans present their lovingly crafted works, the aroma of freshly baked cookies promises culinary delights and at every corner you will find details that warm the heart – such as hand-carved figures or atmospheric sounds.
Visitors can stroll through the small alleyways, discover traditional products and indulge in culinary delights – from hearty delicacies to sweet treats that are perfect for the winter season.
Additional program items such as a guided tour of St. John’s Chapel or a visit to the landscape nativity scene are not to be missed.
