The Styrian Ennstal lures with its varied nature right on the doorstep of your 5-star resort. The Planneralm, for example, is ideal for a (half) day trip. The dark blue Plannersee at almost 1,800 metres above sea level is a popular place for swimming in summer. The municipality of Donnersbach is known for its eponymous gorge. The Donnersbachklamm nestles picturesquely in the northern slopes of the Rottenmanner and Wölzer Tauern in the Ennstal. A walk through the wild gorge is an experience that you will never forget.

THE PICHLARNER WAY

A leisurely circular walk to and from the castle. You stroll leisurely along the golf course, hear the wind rustling in the nearby woods and enjoy the scenery. Can be walked all year round.

Only 5 minutes away by car, a natural jewel awaits: Lake Putterersee. It is the warmest alpine moor lake in Styria. The large sunbathing lawn invites you to soak up the sun, while the view sweeps over the idyllic landscape.

Idyllic moor lake for swimming and walking. The dark green natural lake in the Styrian Salzkammergut is embedded in forest and high moor. The access to the lake with car is possible.

Lake Grundlsee

Lake Grundlsee, with an area of five square kilometers, is the largest lake in Styria and is therefore also known as the “Styrian Sea”.
There are numerous bathing spots along the lake shore where you can enjoy swimming in the crystal-clear water.
