The Scuba Academy
The Scuba Academy diving school offers guided dives, introductory dives as well as training and further education courses for beginners and advanced divers. The experienced guides know the most beautiful diving spots around the lake and accompany guests safely through the underwater world of the Salzkammergut.
Particularly convenient for vacation guests: the equipment can be rented directly on site. This makes the diving experience ideal for spontaneous excursions during your stay with us.
Try Scuba (trial diving)
If you’re not sure whether diving is right for you or you simply want to experience something exciting, then a trial dive is ideal for you. You will learn the basics about hand signals, equipment and the dive before heading into the water. A unique experience and perhaps the start of something bigger.
Open Water Scuba Diver (beginner diving license)
With this course you enter the fascinating world of scuba diving and can take your first basic diving exam. You do not need any previous diving experience and will learn the basics according to SDI rules in several theory and practical units. After successfully passing the exam, you will be entitled to dive with a diving partner to a depth of 18 meters.

Experience nature above and under water
From the IMLAUER Hotel Schloss Pichlarn, you can easily reach Grundlsee by car in around 40 minutes. The route takes you through the beautiful landscape of the Styrian Ausseerland – even the journey there is a short excursion through the region.
If you would like to extend your excursion, you can combine your visit to Grundlsee with other sights in the region. Just a few kilometers away is the famous Toplitzsee, which delights visitors with its mystical atmosphere and exciting history. The picturesque towns of Hallstatt and Bad Aussee as well as the idyllic Altausseersee are also in close proximity to Grundlsee.
