THE PLACE TO ENJOY
PUTTERERSEE AND KULM
The area surrounding the IMLAUER Hotel Schloss Pichlarn is home to numerous natural and spiritual sites that offer unforgettable experiences in every season. A particularly lovely recommendation for the summer is the nearby Putterersee and the adjacent Kulm.
Nestled amid the impressive mountain scenery of the Styrian Enns Valley, the lake and mountains invite visitors not only to swim and relax, but also to take leisurely walks and short hikes.
Swimming Fun at Lake Putterersee
On hot summer days, Lake Putterersee is a popular destination for visitors and locals alike. This moorland lake is considered one of the warmest swimming lakes in Styria. Its clear water, well-maintained sunbathing areas, and breathtaking views of the surrounding mountains make the lake a true natural gem.
It takes just a few minutes to get there from the IMLAUER Hotel Schloss Pichlarn, and the excellent water quality and peaceful atmosphere make Lake Putterer an ideal place to unwind and relax.
The beach resort is open daily from 9:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. during the summer.

Take a relaxing walk by the lake
If you’d like to take it a little easier, you can explore Lake Putterersee on a leisurely walking trail. The trail follows the shore and offers beautiful views of the lake, the majestic Grimming, and the surrounding mountains of the Enns Valley at every turn.
Several benches along the path invite you to linger. Lake Putterer is one of the Natur.Kraft.Plätze of the Grimmingland region and reveals its special energy especially in the morning and evening hours. A true natural gem and an experience for all the senses.
Hike to the Kulm
Right next to Lake Putterersee rises the Kulm, a striking inselberg with an elevation of 918 meters. The hike to the summit of the Kulm is easy and ideal for leisure hikers. Once at the top, you can enjoy a magnificent panoramic view of the entire Ennstal valley.
Just like Lake Putterersee, Kulm is also one of the Natur.Kraft.Plätze in the Enns Valley. Look for the signs for the Grimmingland Health Region, which provide plenty of information about the Natur.Kraft.Plätze and accompanying breathing and mindfulness exercises that enhance the special energy of each location and help you recharge and find peace.
