The opening evening of the popular Ennstal Classic takes place year after year at the IMLAUER Hotel Schloss Pichlarn. Get in the mood for the legendary classic car race with culinary highlights in the magnificent ambience of the castle.

This is what makes the Ennstal Classic so unique:
The Ennstal-Classic was founded in 1993 and is one of the most famous classic car rallies in Austria and Europe.
During the 3-day event in July, the field of 230 classic cars will cover around 900 kilometers through Styria, Salzburg, Upper Austria, Lower Austria and Carinthia. The route of the prologue on Thursday and the marathon on Friday changes annually. Fixed points are the panoramic road Stoderzinken, along the high plateau of the Postalm and the high alpine area of the Dachstein and the Tauern (Sölkpass). The Nockalm Road and the road under the rock barrier of the Gesäuse are other elements of the picturesque route that the private starter field travels. In 2022, the route of the marathon crossed the unique Grossglockner High Alpine Road for the first time.
The annual Grand Prix on Saturday in Gröbming with more than 20,000 spectators is the highlight of the Ennstal-Classic. Racing legends with historic race cars show their skills.
Parallel to this, the sister event Planai-Classic takes place annually at the beginning of January. This is a classic car rally in snow and ice. In the process, participants ride a prologue through the Schladming-Dachstein Region from Gröbming via Schladming and back. In addition, they will contest a mountain test on the Planai.
